Angry Birds Coming to the Big (TV) Screen

angrybirds 300x156 Angry Birds Coming to the Big (TV) ScreenPigs have taken your eggs. What better way of getting back at them by firing 'angry' birds from a massive slingshot directed straight at them. That's pretty much it as far as the premise goes and that's really all you need to know.
Since it's launch on the iPhone back in December last year, Angry Birds has gone from strength to strength. With downloads literally in the millions, the fowl-flinger has seen huge success amongst it's rivals and since then has more recently arrived on smartphones running Google's Android operating system and is currently still doing rather well indeed.
So well in fact that plush toys have now been made available to purchase as well as a Halloween edition of the game for the iPhone and iPod.
Though now, it's not only smartphone users who get to play this little gem. Angry Birds will soon be making it's way to a much bigger screen than the little mobile ones as those who own a Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 or PS3 will also be getting some playtime on it as well.
Pricing and a release schedule hasn't yet been given but we're confident it shouldn't be too long a wait.
So are you looking forward to Angry Birds coming to additional gaming platforms? Will you be getting it? Let us know what you think.

Gran Turismo 5 has a date… Seriously, it does

gt5p 300x219 Gran Turismo 5 has a date... Seriously, it does"We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay"... That's what Sony Computer Entertainment producer Taku Imasaki when Sony promised the game would be on store shelves for Christmas.
Since then, many retailers had dates set for sometime in 2011. Other announcements included one mentioning the discs ready for dispatch.
First announced in 2006, eager fans have been waiting and waiting VERY patiently, knocked back time after time it seems that a date has now been settled after an announcement made by Sony today. That date is November 24th - You can write that down in stone. It's now official.
As far as details go, you probably already know by now but just in case you don't, they are as follows:
Number 1 - There will be 71 racing tracks.
Number 2 - A dynamic weather system has been introduced to the game but only for 11 out of the 71 tracks.
Number 3 - You'll get to drive some of the more famous super cars including the Lamborghini Murcielago and McLaren F1.
Number 4 - Drivers will get to use the Top Gear race track.
Number 5 - Oh and did we mention it's available November 24th
Well... That's about it... For now. You'd probably forgive us for still being a little sceptical but to be fair, Sony have finally stepped forward and given us what we wanted.
Are you still planning on getting your hands on GT5? Bored by all the hype? Let us know what you think.
