Xiaomi integrates Google Lens into MIUI Camera App


Google, at I/O 2017 unveiled Google Lens with the ability to identify objects and, and at I/O 2018 it announced that Lens will be available directly in the camera app on supported devices from various OEMs including LG, Motorola, Xiaomi, HMD/Nokia and OnePlus. Google Lens is already available as a standalone app on the Google Play Store and can also be accessed from Google Photos. Other than Google, OnePlus, ASUS, Nokia, Motorola and other OEMs have already integrated Google Lens inside the system camera app, and now Xiaomi has also updated its MIUI Camera app which brings Google Lens integration. Vivo V15 Pro Camera Samples


Vivo launched its  V15 Pro smartphone in India last month for Rs. 28990. It has triple rear cameras that includes a 48-megapixel  1/2.25″ main sensor (12MP Effective Pixel) with f/1.8 aperture, which should be ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor, 5-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, 8-megapixel AI 120-degree Super wide angle camera with f/2.4 aperture. Similar to most of the phones with 48MP sensor, this uses 'four-in-one pixel' technology to combine four adjacent pixels into a single 1.6μm large pixel. It has a 32-megapixel pop-up front camera with Samsung ISOCELL GD1 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The camera UI is similar to other Vivo phones. On the top there is a flash toggle, HDR toggle, option to enable portrait light effect, Live Photo and Settings option where you can enable 48MP option. On the bottom there is Image Recognizer option, timer, Filters, portrait bokeh, ultra-wide toggle and option to switch to 19.5:9 aspect ratio from 4:3 easily. Oculus Rift S VR headset with Inside-out Tracking, new design announced


Oculus at the GDC 2019 announced its new PC-powered headset; the Oculus Rift S. It works with the Rift platform, giving users access to the top-selling and most immersive VR titles and other games like Asgard's Wrath, Defector, and Stormland. HUAWEI P30 and P30 Pro teased in images, pre-booking offers revealed


HUAWEI is all set to introduce its flagship P30 and P30 Pro series on Tuesday, March 26th. After press shots and detailed specifications surfaced recently, the phone has been teased several images on the official website and the pre-order offers for Europe have been revealed. Pre-booking offers include free Sonos One worth €229 with the P30 and the Sonos One and a wireless charger worth €288 along with the P30 Pro for pre-orders starting March 26th till April 30th. It also confirms 40 MP main + 20MP Ultra Wide + 8MP Telephoto + TOF Leica Quad cameras with 10x hybrid zoom for the P30 Pro and  40MP main +20MP Ultra Wide +8MP Telephoto Leica triple cameras with 5x hybrid zoom for the P30. These phones will pack a 32MP front camera, in-display fingerprint scanner and will be powered by  Kirin 980 SoC with 6GB of RAM for the P30 and 8GB RAM for the P30 Pro. EU hits Google with €1.49 billion fine for abusive online advertising practices


European Commission has fined Google €1.49 billion ($1.7 billion) for breaching EU antitrust rules. This is the third time EU is imposing fine for Google after it was hit with €2.42 billion fine in 2017 and €4.34 billion fine last year.  This time EU says that Google has abused its market dominance by imposing a number of restrictive clauses in contracts with third-party websites which prevented Google's rivals from placing their search adverts on these websites. It added that Google's practices amount to an abuse of Google's dominant position in the online search advertising intermediation market by preventing competition on the merits. "Market dominance is, as such, not illegal under EU antitrust rules. However, dominant companies have a special responsibility not to abuse their powerful market position by restricting competition, either in the market where they are dominant or in separate markets," it added. Google in response said that it has made and in the next few months will make a number of changes to address EU antitrust regulators' concerns. Facebook Messenger gets threaded messages feature for conversations


Social media giant Facebook has been revamping a lot of its own stuff in recent days to provide users with the smooth, easy user experience. In the recent development, Facebook is adding support for "message replies". According to the company, this feature allows for threaded messages, allowing the users to reply specifically to one message without messing around the full message thread. To make use of the new feature, users need to long press on a message and tap the newly included reply icon. Replying from there will send the message directly. In this, the user can respond with text, videos, GIFs, images and emojis as well. It's worth mentioning here that, the new feature is rolling out today. In addition to it, the company is reportedly planning to unify its messaging apps with a goal of merging threads from WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger.
