The Organic Version of Laser Marking is Replacing Sticky Labels
Swedish Supermarket chain ICA works on laser marking labels on products to replace stickers. Developed by Dutch organic vegetable and fruit supplier Eosta, the high-tech method offers a clean and healthy way of branding.
Eosta created a new trademark called Nature & More, to cut plastic packaging and provide healthy food from seed to market in a sustainable way. Nature & More collaborated with Swedish Supermarket chain ICA and came up with what they call "natural branding." The process is almost the same with laser marking, but it's suitable to organic products. According to Peter Hagg, the Business Unit Manager of ICA;
"By using natural branding on all the organic avocados we would sell in one year we will save 200km (135 miles) of plastic 30cm wide.

The 15 Most Ridiculous and Ridiculously Amazing Elon Musk Quotes
Elon Musk has become a name immediately associated with innovation, ingenuity and success. Airbus Wants to Test Its Flying Car by End of 2017
Numerous companies have tried their hand at the idea of a 'flying car'. Over the years, our news feeds have seen prototype after prototype with no success. False promises have left us wondering the concept of a highway in the sky is if at all possible.
Various companies have attempted to produce an airborne passenger vehicle that can replace road vehicles. Some designs look as if a Cessna wing has been strapped to a Ford Escort. Others appear to be a fusion between a Star Wars Podracer and Blade Runner's Spinner.
Fiction becomes reality
With all the buzz about drones, it's only a matter of time before they start transporting people.

Could These World Maps Be the Future of a Connected Hyperloop?
The Hyperloop One project keeps creeping closer to reality. But what would a global chain of high-speed hyperloop systems really look like?
Well, to look into our potential future, we're looking back a few years. In 2003, graphic artist and writer Mark Ovenden created the World Metro Map. Updated in 2008, the map connects major cities of the world with traditional railway and subway systems.

NASA recently ran its first-ever tests of a new jet engine technology which will increase fuel efficiency higher than ever.
NASA is continuously revolutionizing and improving the ergonomics. Previous advances in NASA flight technology improved fuel efficiency by 50 percent. Pratt and Whitney have also made significant improvements in turbines by developing geared turbofan engines which are 15 percent more efficient than other engines. Now, NASA is back in the headlines yet again with another jet engine improvement.

Fingerprints Can Be Stolen From Photos, Research Suggests
Japanese scientists succeed to extract reliable fingerprints from pictures taken from up to three meters away. Next time you pose for a photo, you should remember that there is a tiny possibility of your personal data getting copied and used by scammers.
The disturbing news came from researchers at Japan's National Institute of Informatics (NII) recently. Scientists reported that they were able to extract usable fingerprints from ordinary photos of exposed fingers taken from up to three meters away. They warned that the smartphone cameras are good enough to capture a clear fingerprint even if you are just taking a peace sign selfie.

7 Research Hacks That Will Make You Speak With Authority
There is an old saying about knowledge: "The jack of all trades is the master of none." This is true in life, especially when it comes to speaking.
You don't want to identify yourself as someone who can speak on every topic.
One of the best ways to become a better public speaker is to narrow down a topic to speak on. You want to be considered an expert on one topic, not 10. This means you need to research your topic. And just for the record, an expert is technically someone who knows a little bit more than anyone else.
