Sony launched its flagship phone the Xperia Z3 in India yesterday for Rs 51,990 while LG's flagship device was launched in July for Rs 47,990. We have already reviewed the Z3 and the LG G3  and now we are bringing you the comparison gallery of these two flagship smartphones. The Xperia Z3 sports a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display while the LG G3 has a 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD IPS display at 538 ppi.  The former measures 7.3mm thick and weighs 152 grams while the latter measure 9.1mm thick and weighs 151 grams. The Xperia Z3 has a 2.2MP front-facing camera with 1080p video recording while the LG G3 comes with a 2.1MP front-facing camera. Both the devices have on screen touch buttons and no physical buttons. The Xperia Z3 has a microphone / speaker grill below the display. China is a market that bears a lot of resemblance to its Indian counterpart. This also means that there's a lot of undiscovered talent in China, waiting to get the required exposure. This is what Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella feels. Both companies are very different in their approach to the consumer electronics market. But the fact that Nadella visited Lei Jun during his recent trip to China suggests that there could be some common ground, on which the companies would want to build. Xiaomi's devices most often find use in indie users, whereas Microsoft's offerings target the corporate consumer. Motorola launched the new Moto G (2nd Gen) in India earlier this month running on the latest Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). Motorola has pushed out a minor software update for the smartphone in several countries, including India. According to the official changelog, the update replaces the default launcher with the Google Now launcher and also includes some bug fixes. According to XDA users, the update also changes the Powered by Android Bootimage with a new design and the has some improvements in the auto brightness.  Google Now Launcher is now the default launcher in all the Android One devices, so other Motorola smartphones could also get the update to make the Google Now Launcher as the default launcher. Last month Google opened up the Google Now Launcher for all the devices running Android 4.1 or higher. The new v21.11.23 update for the new Motorola Moto G is 120.8MB and is available over-the-air. You can go to Settings -> About -> System updates -> Check now to check for the updates manually.

Micromax Canvas 4 Plus A315, the company's latest smartphone in the Canvas series is now available from eBay.in and Infibeam. It packs a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED display, powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It features a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage with expansion slot and packs a 2000 mAh battery. The company launched the Canvas Nitro A310 with a 5-inch HD display and 2GB RAM earlier this month. Intex technologies has launched the Aqua Star and the Aqua Star Power along with the Aqua Star HD. The Aqua Star has a 5-inch FWVGA screen, while the Aqua Star Power comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen. Samsung has launched the Galaxy Alpha, the company's first smartphone with an unique metal frame and 6.7mm slim body. It was unveiled last month and packs a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED display, powered by a Octa-Core Exynos (1.8GHz Quad + 1.3GHz Quad) processor and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat).
