Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 (SM-T320) has been spotted at the FCC. According to earlier rumors Samsung would launched this tablet along with the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 (SM-T520/T525) and Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 (SM-P900/P905) sometime in Q1 2014. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is expected to feature a 8.4-inch screen, as the name indicates, come with Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac connectivity. It is also likely to come in a 4G LTE variant, similar to the Galaxy Tab 3. As you can see in the FCC sketch above, the tablet has a rear camera with flash on the back. You can also see the dimensions of the tablet in the sketch, which makes it slightly larger than the 8-inch Tab 3. We don't have any other specifications of the device at the moment. Samsung already has 10-inch tablets and is rumored to launch the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet with a 12.2-inch screen. The Samsung SM-T320 Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February 2014. Source | Via |

With CES just around the corner, Samsung has already started teasing what it has planned up for CES 2014. SamsungExynos's Twitter account has teased asking if we are ready to #UnlockExynos. With UnlockExynos, it could possibly mean that Samsung are planning to update their current octa-core solution to true octa-core. Samsung was the first company to announce an octa-core processor and it featured in the Samsung Galaxy S4 which was launched earlier this year. But it wasn't a true octa-core product. There were a pair of quad-core processors that worked in tandem depending on the amount of load. This was based on ARM's big.LITTLE architecture and later in the year, MediaTek unveiled the world's first true octa-core solution that utilized all eight cores. Samsung updated their original octa-core SoC - Exynos 5410 to Exynos 5420 in Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and they claimed that the new SoC was capable of running eight cores at the same time. However, for 8 cores to work simultaneously HMP(Heterogeneous Multi Processing) has to be enabled both at the hardware as well as at the software(kernel) level. In the Galaxy Note 3 which is powered by Exynos 5420, HMP is already activated at hardware level and ... |
