That's right. C definitely doesn't stand for cheap. The unsubsidized unlocked prices for the iPhone 5C have been revealed. The 16 GB version will be available for 549$ and the 32 GB version will be available for 649$. Let me do the direct conversion for you, the Indian National Rupee prices will likely be - Rs. 35,500/- for the 16 GB version and Rs. 42,000/- for the 32 GB version, rounding off to the nearest values without taxes and import duties. That seals the rumour that a low cost iPhone is on the way. It never was and is going to be the plan for Apple as they would never want to lose the insanely high ASPs that they are getting with the current iPhones. The iPhone 5C also directly replaces the iPhone 5, which means that Apple will cease sales of iPhone 5 everywhere and push the 5C and 5S instead. The iPhone 4S still remains though, by going free on contract in the US and unlocked prices now at $450(Rs. 29,000). The iPhone 5S on the other hand is priced at $649(Rs. 41,750) for the 16GB version, 749$(Rs. 48,200) for 32 GB and 849$(Rs. 54,616) for the 64 GB version. Quite ...

During the event, Cook also claimed that the focus of the company was turning back home and he particularly highlighted a store in Stanford, California. The iPhone 5S is a minor update and it comes nearly a year after the iPhone 5 was launched. Along with the premium iPhone 5S, Apple has launched a subsidiary iPhone 5C for the first time to capitalize on the mid-range market. The two iPhone strategy is new for Apple and we will have to wait to see how it works out for the Cupertino giant. For the first time, China is among the countries where the iPhone will be launched first and this is a result of China's huge smartphone market which will eventually ...

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3, launched at IFA received much attention mainly for its extensive customization options apart from the top end specifications. These options mainly deal with the back covers, ranging from metal to false stitched leather, and literally anything can be done with respect to the back cover. Guess which other device offers similar or even better customization? You guessed right, it's the Moto X. One of the few devices in the world that can come with a wooden back, the Moto X is the Googlorola company's only ticket back to being credible. With increasing competition and their top end specs, can the decidedly mid specced phone match up against the Note 3? We try to find out in a quick comparison video - httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fQ4IMGBoIM As you can see from the video above, there are quite a lot of differences between the Note 3 and the Moto X. Lets start with the display. Despite both being based on the same technology - AMOLED, the Galaxy Note 3 screen is not only bigger(5.7 inches vs 4.7 inches) it's also subjectively better in person, thanks to the full HD resolution and the non-pentile nature of the screen. That said, the smaller screen ...

The S-View cover comes in a wide variety of colors and there are nearly 10 color options available. The Galaxy Note 3 has a unique accessory which is primarily targeted at female customers - Mini Purse cover. The Mini Purse cover, as the name suggests is a case that doubles as a mini purse. Galaxy Note 3 can be attached to right side of the purse and there is a place on the left side that can accommodate other things like money, keys and so on. With the next iPhone(s) scheduled to launch in just a few hours, we took the liberty of comparing the Apple iPhone 5 with the just launched Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because for all you know, the 5S might just be a slight upgrade over the 5. That said, the Galaxy Note is possibly the most technologically(read: hardware) advanced smartphone right now, so how does it fare in comparison with the most popular smartphone on the planet? Watch our video for a quick hands on comparison. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xc9PcQRkMHk As you can see from the video above, the size comparison is really mind blowing. The Note 3 with its huge 5.7 inch full HD screen is massive, making the iPhone look like a small toy. But talking of toys, the glossy glass and the plastic sides make the Note 3 a bit cheap in comparison with the iPhone 5's beautifully built metallic body. But of course durability on the Note 3 is better, especially thanks to the replaceable faux-leather back. Oh, and removable back cover means removable battery and micro SD card slot, both of which have been absent on the iPhone since time immemorial. [gallery ids="81388,81387,81386,81385,81384,81381"] The specifications are also massively apart in terms of generation ...

Samsung has announced that the company's Exynos 5 Octa chip would get Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP) that would let each CPU to be switched on or off as needed and also enables the use of all physical cores at the same time. This would offer  high-performance and low-power to carry out tasks such as 3D gaming, complex augmented reality and advanced web browsing, says Samsung. MediaTek announced the new MT8135 quad-core chip and True Octa-Core solution with ARM big.LITTLE architecture, which also uses a similar Heterogeneous Multi-Processing technique to use all the core at the same time. The Multi-processing software controls the scheduling of threads of execution to the appropriate core. In earlier versions of the big.LITTLE software, the whole processor context is moved up to the 'big' core or down to the 'LITTLE' core based on the measured work load. In the new Heterogeneous Multi-Processing method Software threads with high priority or high computational intensity can be allocated to the big Cortex-A15 cores, while threads with less priority or are less computationally intensive can be performed by the LITTLE Cortex-A7 cores, achieving high-performance with low-energy for  multi-processing capability in mobile devices. The Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP) solution for Samsung Exynos 5 Octa application processors would be available in Q4 2013. Here is a ...
