The Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL were introduced at the Consumer electronics show 2013 at Las Vegas recently. With both of them sporting a 5 inch 1080p screen and a powerful Qualcomm APQ8064 processor, they generated quite a lot of buzz at the trade show. It was announced that the global roll out will be started soon, and the above image is the first clue that both the Xperia Z and ZL are landing in the Indian markets soon. As you can see above, straight from the horse's mouth, the Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL are supposedly "coming soon" to India. The Xperia Z and ZL are part of the new Smartphone flagship series from Sony and there are some subtle differences between the two. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has received a price cut and is now available for Rs. 34900. Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 2 at a price tag of Rs. 39,900 last September. The Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S Duos got a price cut earlier today, and the first Samsung Galaxy Note got a price cut back in December. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the company's recent flagship device, and it packs a 5.5-inch (1,280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display, 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It also has a new S Pen and comes with S Pen specific apps such as S Note, S Planner, Email with hand-writing integration and S Pen Keeper. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 received the Android 4.1.2 OTA update that brought several new features including Notification Panel, new Notification Toggles, Option to disable  Multi Window, option to disable Brightness Slider from the notification bar  and more. Online retailer Flipkart has already started selling the Galaxy Note 2 at the new price.

BlackBerry launched the Z10, the first BlackBerry 10 few days back, and here we have the unboxing of the phone. The phone has a 4.2 inch multi-touch IPS LCD display at a resolution of 1280 by 768 at 356 PPI pixel density. The Z10 is powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. The phone lies at the top, and the box contents are present at the bottom compartment. There was also a BlackBerry leather holster case in the box, but the box contents may vary based on the market. The phone weighs just 137 grams and at the same time feels sold in hand. It is 9 mm thick. There is a 2MP font-facing camera with 720p HD video recording. The phone has complete gesture interface with BlackBerry Flow UX and the BlackBerry Hub that offers messages and conversations and messages from the social networking sites at a single place. Samsung has cut the price of the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S Duos in India yet again. Both these phones got a price cut at the end of December. The Samsung Galaxy S3 was launched in India in May at a MRP of Rs. 43,180, it got a price cut to Rs. 34,900 first, back in September, once again in December to Rs. 31,900. It is now available for Rs. 28,900 after the recent price cut. No sign of price cut for the 32GB version of the Galaxy S3. The Galaxy S Duos that was launched in India for Rs. 17,900 few months back is now available for Rs. 12,900 after the price drop. It got a price cut to Rs. 14,900 last month. This price cut would definitely boost the sales of these smartphones. Online retailers Saholic and Flipkart are now selling these devices at new rates. Are you planning to buy these Samsung smartphones or wait for the Galaxy S4 that is expected to be announced next month, and go on sale in April.

Asus has officially announced the MeMO Pad Smart, the company's latest tablet with a 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5MP auto-focus rear camera and a 1.2MP front-facing camera. It has Dual Stereo Speakers with SonicMaster Audio Technology for enhanced audio output. It surfacd on several online retail sites in Netherlands, Italy and Germany recently. Micromax unveiled the A116 Canvas HD with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor last month. It is expected to go on sale in the first week of February, now they have announced that the phone would go on sale from February 14th. The phone runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and packs a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Micromax partnered with Snapdeal for A110 pre-bookings, this time Micromax has announced that the A116 would be available only on micromaxinfo.com from 14th February. Lava International has launched the Etab Xtron, the company's first Android tablet that runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
