Last week, we reported that Apple has started to catch up on iPhone 5 demand in the U.S. Now, iPhone 5 shipping estimates for Asia and Pacific markets have dropped to just one week. That's the shortest shipping estimate since the iPhone 5 went on sale back in September. A shorter shipping time might  mean demand is dropping, or more likely Apple has been able to ramp up production of the iPhone 5 to meet demand. Even though shipping times still show two weeks in other markets, that should change within a matter of hours to reflect the new shipping time. Apple is still not selling unlocked versions of the iPhone 5 in the US market. May be the increase in stocks might be an indicator that the unlocked iPhone 5s are going to go one sale soon.

Alongside the QWERTY equipped Nokia Asha 205, the Finnish phone manufacturer also announced the Nokia 206 as part of its feature phone offering. The phone has a candy bar form-factor and looks quite handsome if we might say so. The quality of plastics used here is very high though the high gloss finish means that the phone is a fingerprint magnet.  The Nokia 206 is available in a range of colors including  magenta, yellow, cyan, black and white. At launch, only the cyan, black and white models will be available in India. The front of the handset has a nice and bright 2.4" display in portrait orientation. The design of the handset has a classic vibe to it and it feels rather nice in the hand. Over at the back we have a design which is  highly inspired by the 'fabula' design language first seen on the Lumia 800 right down to the metallic strip around the camera module. The camera unit itself is a 1.3MP module which is a bit better than the one the Asha 205 but not much. The camera software can upload pics directly to Facebook and includes the same voice guidance system as seen on the Asha 205. Nokia claims ...

As part of its Asha series, Nokia launched two new devices in India today. The Nokia Asha 205 is a QWERTY keyboard equipped dual SIM device and will be available in a range of colors. Nokia has equipped the phone with a direct shortcut to Facebook. This link is hard coded to Facebook so you'd better be an ardent user of the social network. The 2.4" screen on the handset feels just about right for this class of device and clarity seemed on par if not better than its competitors. In our brief session with the handset, we couldn't really find much to complain about the screen and for that matter even the rest of the handset. The top of the dual colored handset sports a 3.5 mm jack alongside the pin based charger we're well acquainted with. The phone can support up to 32GB microSD cards so you should be able to make good use of that audio jack to pump out the latest tunes! In the brief amount of time we spent with the handset, we felt that the QWERTY keypad provide great tactile feedback. Heavy texters and users of messenger services should find this keyboard very comfortable to work with. ...
