Airtel starts taking Pre-Orders for iPhone 5 in India, priced at Rs.45500 for 16GB http://www.fonearena.com/blog/56792/airtel-starts-taking-pre-orders-for-iphone-5-in-india-priced-at-45500-for-16gb.html Airtel  which is one of the leading mobile operators in India has started taking Pre-Orders for the Apple iPhone 5 on its website. Airtel is promoting the iPhone 5 on its homepage and has requested interested customers to pre-order the device. The date of availability is mentioned as November 11th 2012 which is a good 10 days later than the previous November 2nd date we have been hearing from distributors.The prices seem to be exactly the same as what we had heard prior to this. Sadly only the 16GB black version is available for pre-order right now. No sign of the white model or the other capacities. Hopefully that will change before the actual launch. iPhone 5 coming soon to Aircel http://www.fonearena.com/blog/56787/iphone-5-coming-soon-to-aircel.html We just told you few hours back that the iPhone 5 was coming to India on November 2nd and also told about the prices at which the iPhone 5 will be selling for in India starting from Rs.45500 for the 16GB model.And now as expected Aircel has starting teasing the iPhone 5 on it's website. The operator has a coming soon banner for the iPhone 5 on its homepage.Aircel along with Airtel were the official launch partners for the iPhone 4S in India last year.This year though Apple has appointed 2 distributors Ingram Micro and Redington for selling the iPhone 5 in India Just to let you know , the iPhone 5 uses a new type of SIM card called the nanoSIM card which is smaller than the microSIM card used in many phones these days.Operators will start offering nano SIM cards for the iPhone 5 across the country but you can also make one yourself ea

Apple Store Down Ahead of iPad mini Pre-Orders http://www.fonearena.com/blog/56745/apple-store-down-ahead-of-ipad-mini-pre-orders.html The Apple Store just went down for iPad mini pre-orders. iPad mini pre-orders begin on October 26th, and in the past they come online first thing in the morning. From observations in the past, I have noticed that they usually come online at 12 AM PST. I'll make sure to update this post when things come back online. The WiFi only model will only be available for pre-order today and are expected to be delivered by November 2nd.  In addition, the fourth-generation iPad will be released on November 2nd. LG Nexus 4 with Nexus branding shows up http://www.fonearena.com/blog/56686/lg-nexus-4-with-nexus-branding.html LG Mobile's upcoming Nexus  smartphone has been doing rounds on the internet a lot. And today we have a sweet looking picture of the phone with the iconic Nexus branding on the back thanks to @evleaks. The pictures of this phone had been leaked in the past as the LG E960 but the Nexus branding was missing in those images. Specs of the LG Nexus phone  have also surfaced hinting at Snapdragon S4 quad-core CPU, Android 4.2 and wireless charging. Google is holding an Android event on October 29 and it is highly likely that we might see the LG Nexus phone being officially announced. We might also see more Nexus products including a 32GB Nexus 7 and a 3G Nexus 7 tablet along with a 10inch Nexus device. The last week of October is turning out to be an interesting time. Apple had launched the previous iPad (iPad 3rd) just 7 months ago in March , and in a surprising move Apple has updated the iPad already. In terms of hardware the new iPad looks almost identical to the iPad 3 but packs the all new Apple A6X chip which is two times faster than the previous A5X chip.  The 30-pin connector has been replaced with the new Lightning connector. Apple is also stating improved WiFi performance and additional support for more LTE networks in the latest iPad.
